150kW 3 PHASE OFF GRID HYBRID COMMERCIAL SYSTEM
This commercial installation is situated in a beautiful retirement village in Howick. The BEC Electrical team installed a 3 phase hybrid commercial solar PV system comprising of the following details.
- 150kw Sunsynk Inverters
- 183kw Sunsynk Battery
- 220 x 550w Solar Panels or 110kwh
- 100kva Generator Integration
This is an off-grid medium commercial installation offering fantastic savings from solar power as well as a large battery to keep the power on for hours at night and the combination of solar and battery keeps our client off-grid during clear sunny days with a total of 420kwh of solar production per day. That equates to R34 000 a month
saving on municipality consumption in clear conditions.
We have integrated the generator into the system for those rainy days where solar power is limited. The inverter controls the generator and tells the generator when to start to power the business and when to shut down once the battery has charged up again.
750kW 3 PHASE SUNGROW GRID-TIE INVERTER SYSTEM
This installation is situated in Mpumalanga at the Hammersdale Mall. The BEC Electrical team installed a grid-tie solar system comprising of the following details.
- 750kw Sungrow AC Grid-Tie Inverter
- 800KVA Generator Integration
- 1400 x 555W (770KW) Jinko Solar Panels
The Inverter has been set up to AC couple on the load side of the consumer panel. This means that the Municipal power being purchased will be dropped to effectively zero consumption during daylight hours keep the municipal meter running at zero while the tenants within the center continue to purchase electricity like normal via a pre-paid metering system. The pre-paid metering system is linked to the clients bank account so that all electricity purchased by tenants goes directly to the landlord
account while the municipal spend has dropped by 80%. This configuration will generate a large saving on the municipality electricity bill while still collecting tenants
electricity purchases.
The system cost ROI is 28 months, thereafter its profit for the landlord. System maintenance is a relatively small amount in respect to the saving generated
by the system.

110KVA GENERATOR
This generator was installed in Cornubia Mall to back up power to “The Pro Shop” and the “Cycle Lab.”

We have installed the identical installation at “The Pro Shop “and “Cycle Lab” Cape Town and Paarl.
The 110kva Generator is equipped with an ATS (automatic start and change over system, meaning that when the power goes off the generator will start and power the premises automatically as well as changing back to Eskom when the Eskom power is restored.
All our generators as well as any generator can be integrated into a Grid-Tie Solar system to reduce diesel consumption by 60% on average while the generator is running, When the generator turns off and we switch back to Eskom the Grid-Tie Solar will then reduce municipality consumption all automatically.
12kW 3 PHASE SUNSYNK HYBRID INVERTER SYSTEM
This installation is situated in Plantations, Hillcrest. The BEC Electrical team installed a hybrid solar PV system comprising of the following details.

The Inverter has been set up to export(send) Solar power to nonessential circuits. This means that big items like the geysers and jacuzzi will be powered by solar energy but will not be running on battery power. This setting allows the inverter to send power back to all nonessential circuits without exporting it into the municipality grid.

No municipal power is being used. This System is as off-grid as it gets. Solar and borehole water system which gives our client a combined saving of R7000 a month in municipal charges. This is fantastic considering the Return on investment is 4years.

25kW 3 PHASE SUNGROW HYBRID
This installation is situated in Seaward Estate, Ballito. The BEC Electrical team installed a 3 phase Sungrow hybrid solar PV system comprising of the following details.
- 25kw 3 Phase Hybrid Inverter
- 19.2kw Sungrow Battery
- 20 x 545w Full Black Panels
This system is powering a large home with all amenities running on the inverter. The system will power the house at full capacity for a minimum of 2hrs at night and off-grid on solar during the day.
Sungrow is great because you can start with a small battery and add battery in 3.2kw stacks with a maximum limit of 104KWK per inverter. This means you can start with as little as 9.4kwh of battery and build onto the system up to 104kwh which is a huge amount of battery power. This is an industry first. Normally you would have to add
battery power to the size of the existing battery on site. So, if you have 1 x 10kw battery you would have to add another 10kw battery in a conventional system but with Sungrow you can keep adding battery power in 3.2kw stacks which are cost effective and gives you the freedom to add precisely enough battery for your needs over time or outright.
50kW 3 PHASE HYBRID COMMERCIAL SYSTEM
